Double down on your Social Media marketing...SEO is changing...don't worry, just ♬shake it off♬! Lets plan for Q4 and 2024, so that these upcoming updates work FOR you and not against you.
OK! Let’s address the elephant in the room. If you haven’t seen what’s going on with Google, I made a super short video showing you what shows up when someone searches (using Generative AI) for “how do I sing better” (a phrase I found using Answerthepublic.com).

As you can see, Generative AI (you can turn this on yourself in Google, it is in experimental mode) answered the question, gives follow up questions, and uses youtube videos FIRST, then gives a few webpages that had those exact words on them. 😳
Before we panic, here is what we learned from this:
Change is coming. Let’s be ready for this as it is likely dropping asap or in 2024.
Optimize EVERYTHING on your website. Refresh your copy with current and relevant keywords. Using Alt text/image title is more important than ever. Rewrite and update your blog posts.
SOCIAL MEDIA IS NO LONGER AN AFTERTHOUGHT or an I just don’t like it. If you own a business and want to make money, social media is a top tool for you to utilize. I’ve been saying this for a long time, being kind and gentle and easy-going with you. The time is now. If you want your brand, service, coaching, music, studio, podcast, to be found, you must be posting on social media. Daily. If you cannot do daily, then do weekly. Make no mistake, you must make content on internet.
My current recommendations are:
Commenting and engaging is your BEST way to growth. I’m commenting and engaging more than I post and it’s working. Take 5-10 mins a day, go to accounts that you love, are in your niche, that uplift people, are your clients. Try it and let me know what happens.
Stop scheduling everything. I’m sorry, friends. I know that’s hard. A percentage to go by would be 30% schedule, 70% native/organic posting.
Less graphics, more faces. Also hard. You can *potentially circumvent this by using ads. I’m currently taking an ads course and will be able to offer you more insight on that soon.
Short form video content is 💯 your friend. It can be posted on YouTube shorts, TikTok and Reels.
Another bestie is to repurpose your top-performing and/or evergreen content. You’ve already done the work, now share it again. Every 90 days check for your best options.
If you love to write, do it on Medium or LinkedIN. Join #SocialSaturday on LinkedIN. Engage and chat with people by commenting and highlighting on Medium.
Make long form videos, turn them into shorts using my fave new app klap.app and then post every where. You are about to see a lot more posts from me and this is how I’m doing it;

Podcast - audio/video 10-20+ mins using Descript/Squadcast
Create shorts-toks-reels using klap.app
post across platforms
write on Medium - share to LinkedIn - using the transcript for blogging inspo
share in Newsletter

📺 YouTube allows more links on your homepage AND lowers the barrier to monetization! It is now - Videos - 500 subscribers - 3 public uploads within 90 days - 3,000 watch hours in the past year. For Shorts it is 3 million valid public Shorts views in 90 days.
